short side* aka James Wilson is a multidisciplinary creative in the golf industry -- an early career in professional golf has combined + with a passion for telling the stories around the game, through | words | and graphics^.

short side* came to life on the winding roads of professional golf. Unsatisfied by the perception of the game, I turned to writing and design to demonstrate the potential for creativity in the sport. Soon, capturing stories around the game had my undivided attention.

The game’s culture is finally moving but many of its visual elements are stuck in the past. I draw on modern references and apply them to a game rich in visual history.
